DDP is a representative landmark where you can experience Seoul’s design, culture, history, and modern architecture. Its beautiful lighting and unique architectural beauty can be appreciated day and night. Designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid and opened in 2014, it features an organic and futuristic curved exterior composed of over 45,000 aluminum panels.
DDP houses exhibition halls, conference halls, a design museum, a design lab, a media center, seminar rooms, a design market, and a café, serving as a cultural hub for frequent fashion, design, and cultural events and conferences. The complex’s diverse spaces, spanning from the third basement level to the fourth floor, are seamlessly connected, and the rooftop features a park and walking trail.
Opening hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and the museum is closed on Mondays.
Admission is free, but some special exhibitions may incur additional fees. Access is very convenient, with direct access from Exit 1 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station on Lines 2, 4, and 5.
