Deokjin Park is a representative municipal park in Jeonju, located at 390 Gwonsamdeuk-ro, Deokjin-gu, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do.
The park covers approximately 13,000 square meters and is particularly famous for its large pond, which occupies two-thirds of the southern portion, and its lotus flowers.
An arched suspension bridge spans the center of the pond, allowing visitors to admire the lotus flowers up close.
The park features a traditional pavilion, a lotus garden, an artificial waterfall, and a wooden bridge, creating a harmonious blend of traditional beauty and natural scenery.
It also features nine stone monuments, including the Children’s Charter, a poetry monument inscribed with the poems of poets Shin Seok-jeong and Kim Hae-gang, and a statue of General Jeon Bong-jun.
The Dano Changpo Water Festival is held every year on Dano Day, allowing visitors to experience a traditional ritual of washing their hair in Changpo water to pray for good health.
Deokjin Park is a beloved attraction year-round for its diverse natural scenery and relaxing space for citizens.
It is easily accessible, approximately 10-15 minutes by bus from the Jeonju Hanok Village.
