두물머리
Dumulmeori (두물머리) is a secluded natural tourist destination located in Yangseo-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do. It marks the point where the Bukhangang and Namhangang Rivers meet to form the Han River. True to its name, “the head of two waters,” Dumulmeori offers captivating scenery where two rivers meet, making it a popular photo spot year-round.
The area features a large parking lot, a cafe, a waterside deck promenade, a photo spot featuring three 400-year-old zelkova trees, and a traditional pavilion-style dock.
Nearby attractions include Semiwon Garden, a beautiful garden filled with lotus and water lilies, a strawberry picking farm, a walking path and bike rental course, and Yangsuri Traditional Market, making it an ideal half-day or day trip destination.
Transportation:
*From Seoul Station, transfer to the Jungang Line or Gyeongui-Jungang Line and get off at Yangsu Station (approximately 70 minutes). From there, take a 5-10 minute taxi ride or walk or bike.
*By car, take the Gyeongui-Jungang Expressway to Yangpyeong IC and head towards Yangsuri. It takes 20 minutes.
From the riverside adorned with yellow reeds in autumn, to the snow-covered surface in winter, to the tranquility of lotus flowers and greenery in spring and summer, Dumulmeori is the perfect destination for those seeking relaxation and contemplation in nature.
