The Ho-Am Art Museum, located in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, focuses on the traditional Korean art of Samsung founder Lee Byung-chul.
Hosted in a traditional Korean house (hanok) building spanning approximately 3,960 square meters, the museum houses approximately 15,000 works of art, including ancient Korean art, Buddhist art, calligraphy, folk paintings, and ceramics. Approximately 100 of these are designated national treasures.
The museum features exhibition spaces on the second floor of the traditional Korean house and a traditional Korean garden, “Heewon,” offering visitors a cultural experience alongside beautiful scenery.
Major exhibits include Buddhist art, calligraphy, folk paintings, and ceramics, offering visitors the opportunity to delve into the depths of traditional Korean art.
The museum also features the “Heewon Garden,” a recreation of a traditional Korean garden, offering seasonal views.
After viewing the exhibits, visitors can enjoy tea in the garden’s tea room. Everland guests can visit the museum without an admission fee, making it a popular destination for families.
Opening hours are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and it is closed every Monday and during the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays.
