향일암
Hyangiram Hermitage is a unique Buddhist hermitage located on the coast of Yeosu, South Jeolla Province. It is said to have been founded in 644 by the Baekje-era monk Wonhyo.
It is renowned for its sunrise, and an annual sunrise festival is held here, offering breathtaking views of the East Sea (South Sea) and a peaceful Buddhist atmosphere.

* The name “Hyangiram” means “hermitage facing the sun,” and it is renowned for its sunrise viewing.
* The temple grounds include the Daeungjeon Hall, Samseonggak Pavilion, and Gwaneumjeon Hall. The walls of the Daeungjeon Hall are beautifully painted with scenes from the life of Buddha.
* The temple is famous for its hiking trails that wind through seven gorges and narrow paths, and legend has it that one can make a wish along the way.
* The annual sunrise festival is also a popular sunrise viewing spot.
