Jeju Stone Park offers a unique opportunity to experience Jeju Island’s unique volcanic rock, stone culture, mythology, and folk heritage all in one place.
The park features various themed zones, including the Jeju Stone Museum, Mythical Garden, an outdoor exhibition hall, a traditional thatched-roof village, and a group of Dolhareubang statues, allowing visitors to experience Jeju’s nature, folklore, and mythology in a three-dimensional way.
This 3.27 million square meter complex tourist attraction focuses on Jeju’s unique stone culture and the mythology of this volcanic island.
Features and Key Attractions
*Seolmundae Halmang Myth: Experience the essence of Jeju mythology through exhibitions and sculptures themed on the myths of Seolmundae Halmang, the creator goddess of Jeju, and the Five Hundred Generals.
*Dolhareubang & Stone Sculptures: 48 Dolhareubang, symbolic of Jeju, and various volcanic stone sculptures are located throughout the park.
*Traditional Thatched-roof Village: Approximately 50 traditional Jeju thatched-roof houses have been restored to their original form, allowing visitors to experience the lives of Jeju people in the past.
*Indoor and Outdoor Exhibitions: The Jeju Stone Museum displays the types, formation, and uses of volcanic rock, as well as artifacts and artwork related to mythology.
*Seolmundae Halmang Exhibition Hall (Opening 2025): Opened in June 2025, the Seolmundae Halmang Exhibition Hall introduces Jeju’s myths, traditions, and history through immersive exhibitions.
The museum also features amenities such as a cafe, restaurant, museum shop, nursing room, and emergency room.
