The Kim Tschang-Yeul Museum of Art opened in 2016 to honor the world-renowned water drop artist Kim Tschang-Yeul (1929-2021).
Located within the Jeju Artists’ Village (Jejiri Artists’ Village), the museum offers a tranquil natural setting where visitors can appreciate Kim’s signature “water drop” artwork.
Designed by Korean architect Hong Jae-seung, the single-story building is inspired by the flowing water droplets.
The interior is divided into three exhibition halls and features an educational space, a resource center, and a souvenir shop. The outdoor space features water drop installations, a popular photo opportunity.
