The Leeum Museum of Art, Samsung, Samsung Foundation of Culture, is a leading private museum located at 60-16 Itaewon-ro 55-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. It houses and exhibits a diverse collection of traditional Korean and contemporary art, as well as artworks from around the world. Its curation is particularly noteworthy, encompassing Korean ceramics, ancient art, Buddhist art, and even contemporary and installation art.
The building itself is a unique structure designed by world-renowned architects Mario Botta, Jean Nouvel, and Rem Koolhaas, and its interior spaces, landscaping, and modern exhibition environment are noteworthy.
The main permanent exhibition features ceramics, Buddhist statues, paintings, and measuring instruments from various periods, as well as contemporary art pieces and installations by renowned artists. Special exhibitions are held frequently, and the museum features a café and lounge for relaxation.
*Hours: Tuesday-Sunday 10:00-18:00 (Closed every Monday, Lunar New Year/Chuseok holidays, and New Year’s Day)

The museum is closed every Monday and on major holidays, and visiting hours should be taken into consideration.
Reservations are required for visits to the Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art. Admission to the permanent exhibition is free, and it is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
