Namsan Baekbeom Square, located within Namsan Park in Hoehyeon-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, commemorates independence activist Kim Gu.
A statue of Kim Gu stands in the center of the square, a significant symbol of Korea’s independence.
The well-maintained walking path allows visitors to experience both nature and history in the heart of the city, and it’s a popular photo spot.
The surrounding square also features a horse statue of General Kim Yu-sin and a statue of Lee Si-yeong, adding to its historical significance.
It’s conveniently located, about a five-minute walk from Exit 4 of Hoehyeon Station (Subway Line 4), and is open year-round.
A walking trail leads from the square to Namsan Tower, making it a great starting point for exploring the entire Namsan Mountain.
