Seonjeongneung consists of two main tombs: Seolleung, to the west, is the burial site of King Seongjong (1457-1494), the ninth king of the Joseon Dynasty, and his third wife, Queen Jeonghyeon.
Jeongneung, to the east, is the tomb of King Jungjong (1487-1544), the eleventh king and son of King Seongjong.
Seonjeongneung and Jeongneung are popular places for a quiet stroll and historical and cultural experience in the heart of Seoul.
They are important sites where visitors can witness the Confucian philosophy of our ancestors and the symbolism of royal authority during the Joseon Dynasty.
Located in the heart of Gangnam-gu, South Korea, these royal tombs are beloved as a resting place for city dwellers.
