Seonyudo Park is an ecological and cultural park located on Seonyudo, a small island on the Han River in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
Formerly the site of an industrial water purification plant, Seonyudo Park opened in 2002 and is a landmark that harmonizes nature and modern design in the heart of the city.
Main facilities include an aquatic botanical garden, an environmental purification pond, a metasequoia trail, the Seonyu Bridge Observatory, various themed gardens (including the Fragrance Garden and Sound Garden), Seonyujeong Pavilion, the Seoul Design Gallery, and an outdoor performance hall. The park serves as an environmental education and relaxation space, allowing visitors to experience nature within the city.
Connected to Yanghwa Hangang Park via the Seonyu Bridge, the park offers stunning views of the Han River and the cityscape of Seoul.
With a variety of facilities, including a waterside garden, an environmental playground, a themed botanical garden, and an outdoor stage, it is a popular spot for picnics, strolls, and photo opportunities.
The view of the Seonyu Bridge and the park, beautifully illuminated at sunset and at night, is particularly impressive.
Opening hours are 6:00 AM to midnight, and admission is free.
