Seoul Forest

Seoul Forest is a large urban forest, a prime retreat where visitors can experience nature within the city.
Situated alongside the Han River, it boasts stunning natural scenery and is a multi-purpose cultural space that also hosts various cultural events and music festivals.

Pastoral sites include Seoul’s first water purification plant, a horse racing track, and a royal hunting ground. In 2005, it was reborn as an eco-friendly park through the participation of citizens and businesses.

Comprising five theme parks (Culture and Arts Park, Ecological Forest, Experiential Learning Center, Wetland Ecological Park, and Hangang Riverside Park), it offers a variety of activities, including walking, cycling, picnicking, nature observation, and various cultural and educational programs.

In spring, cherry blossoms, tulips, and other flowers bloom in abundance. In summer, picnics and festivals await amidst fountains, expansive lawns, and forests. In fall, the forest is a popular destination for lush foliage and music events, while in winter, it’s a popular spot for walking and photography. The surrounding area is also home to a thriving commercial district, featuring galleries, cafes, and restaurants.
