Songnidan-gil (literally “Songnidan-gil”) is a trendy street located in Songpa-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, east of Seokchon Lake. Its name is a portmanteau of “Songpa-dong” and “Gyeongnidan-gil” in Itaewon.
Since the early 2010s, it has become a popular dating and relaxation spot for young people, with cafes, restaurants, and photo studios opening up.
This street is bustling with visitors both weekdays and weekends, boasting a variety of international cuisines, including Italian, Japanese, and izakaya (Japanese pubs), as well as charming cafes.
The area around Seokchon Lake, in particular, boasts a wealth of unique rooftop cafes and restaurants, making it a popular date spot in Seoul.
It’s easy to find while strolling along the Seokchon Lake Trail, and is easily accessible, being only a 10-minute walk from Lotte World Mall.
Seokchon Lake is especially crowded during cherry blossom season in March.
