월화원
Wolhwawon (Wolhwawon) is a traditional Chinese garden located in Hyowon Park, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.
This garden was created in 2006 as part of a cultural exchange agreement between Gyeonggi Province and Guangdong Province, China. Covering approximately 6,000 square meters, it recreates the traditional folk garden of Guangdong Province, China, in Korea.
With its pink roof, winding paths, variously shaped windows and door frames, and unique structures like the Wolbangjeong Pavilion floating on a pond, Wolhwawon offers an exotic garden landscape rarely seen in Korea. Its quiet and peaceful atmosphere makes it ideal for relaxation and strolling, and it’s also a popular filming location for dramas like “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.”
Located approximately 15 minutes’ walk from Suwon City Hall Station, it’s easily accessible by public transportation, making it a popular destination for tourists and photographers alike.
